A Run Club with a serious legacy
The Calgary Road Runners have been around since 1976. Coming up on their 50th anniversary they wanted a refresh to their look. Their logo was well loved by their members and a brand roll out needed to live alongside existing elements as it is rolled out over time. The logo was updated with a few tweaks to modernize it and make it more readable at various scales. A flexible brand system was developed to make the brand easier to use in various applications and lend a cohesive feel to their various events and club runs.
A group of icons was developed not only to call out run club events such as marathon and 10km training plans, but also to serve as flexible marks that can be applied to merch.
